Hi everyone!

Just wondering what use you guys have for old drumheads? I usually retire mine before they get old, and change them once a month with the amount of playing I get in. It goes without saying that I've got a LOT of old heads laying around!!

I use some as trays when I'm doing DIY work so I don't spill paint etc on the carpets, I also cut them up and use them as "O" rings to dampen snares etc.

    Any other suggestions?

Actually the best uses I've found for old heads is cutting 1/2" to 2/3" by 8" slices and use them to attach the snares on the bottom side. I was on the gig the other night and I was using standard string or twine and of course, it snapped. Try it, because it seems to last a lot longer and doesn?t effect the sound either...

Also, frisbee action ends up happening when changing heads at the gig. Watch your head
